Position title: Senior Outreach Specialist, La Follette School of Public Affairs
Bonnie MacRitchie coordinates legislative and other outreach activities that connect UW-Madison faculty members, students, and guests with state lawmakers, scholars, and community members. Bonnie’s legislative outreach projects include the Wisconsin Family Impact Seminars, Committee Connect, and Office Hours at the Capitol. She also helps plan, coordinate, and communicate School-sponsored events and special projects.
Bonnie’s previous professional experiences include leading a statewide project for the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families focused on developing local trauma-responsive services and supports for children in the child welfare system. She also served as a policy analyst for the Wisconsin Supreme Court and worked in nonprofit organizations and at the Wisconsin State Capitol. Bonnie graduated from UW–Madison with a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and Political Science and earned her master’s degree in Public Service Management from DePaul University. Bonnie loves attending Badger athletic events, reading mystery novels, kayaking, and spending time with her bulldog, Maxine.
