Position title: Retired Deputy Executive Director, League of Wisconsin Municipalities
Curt Witynski served as the chief lobbyist in the state capitol for the League of Wisconsin Municipalities for twenty-two years prior to retiring as Deputy Executive Director of the League in December of 2022. Before becoming the League’s lobbyist, Curt served as the association’s Legal Counsel for eight years. Mr. Witynski has given many presentations and written numerous articles on various aspects of municipal government, legislation, and law. He is the co-author of several guidebooks for local officials published by the League. Mr. Witynski has served on the Wisconsin Urban Forestry Council, the Green Tier Legacy Communities Executive Committee, the Board of Directors of Creative Community Living Services, Inc., and is a former member of the City of Madison Zoning Board of Appeals. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He has a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School where he graduated with honors.
