About Anica

Anica Graney is the Outreach & Communications Specialist for UniverCity Alliance (UCA), where she amplifies the impact of community-university partnerships across Wisconsin. Through strategic communications and engaging storytelling, she highlights UCA’s work, fosters collaboration opportunities, and advances the Wisconsin Idea by connecting communities with UW–Madison resources and expertise.

Anica earned a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication and a certificate in Digital Studies from UW–Madison in 2023. As a student, she served as a communications assistant for the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. After graduation, she worked as Communications Manager for the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) while continuing her communications work with the Nelson Institute. In her current role at UCA, Anica combines her passion for storytelling, public service, and strategic communications to strengthen connections between the university and communities throughout the state.
