Cary Bloodworth
Position title: Supervising Attorney, Family Legal Advocacy and Supports Clinic (FLASC), University of Wisconsin Law School

Cary is an attorney and director of the Family Legal Advocacy and Supports Clinic (FLASC) at the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she works with both law students and social work students in providing legal and non-legal services to families at risk of formal involvement with the child welfare system. FLASC partners with state and county agencies to provide holistic support to families and prevent family separation.
Before joining the law school, Cary worked in the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s appellate division, where she litigated appeals in criminal cases, termination of parental rights cases, juvenile cases, and mental health commitments. Cary also has family law experience, having practiced family law at Community Justice Inc., a non-profit law firm that provides reduced-fee legal representation to low-income families. She now serves on Community Justice Inc.’s board of directors.
Cary received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she was a Law In Action Research Fellow. After graduating, Cary clerked for the Honorable Lynn Adelman in the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
