Ed Boswell is faculty in the Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture and focuses on geospatial technologies and design frameworks. Ed is involved in strategic planning, curriculum development for courses and certificates, and designed the M.S. in Environmental Remediation and Management degree in the Department of Soil Science. Ed earned a Ph.D. in soil science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.S. in horticulture and a B.S. in biology from the Pennsylvania State University. His research includes conservation cover cropping, mycorrhizal fungi, over-winter soil carbon dynamics, urban soils, and surface water quality in the Yahara and Green Lake watersheds.
