Shu Sun

Shu Sun is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in Landscape Architecture at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research focuses on microclimate design, public health, and climate resilience, with a particular emphasis on improving thermal comfort for older adults in urban environments. Shu’s expertise includes GIS mapping, environmental data analysis, and community-based research, which she applies to develop sustainable, inclusive outdoor spaces. As a UniverCity Alliance Scholar, she is excited to collaborate with Wisconsin communities to create innovative urban design solutions that enhance environmental equity and public well-being.
