Position title: Scientist, Institute for Clinical and Translational Research
Whitney Sweeney is currently a Scientist in the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) Team Science Core. Her role is to support interdisciplinary research teams through research, workshops, and interventions creating greater impact and ultimately improving human health. Previously, she served on the team that founded the American Family Insurance Data Science Institute. As Assistant Director she established policy, processes, and teams as well as managed operations for the new center. Prior to that she supported faculty research and graduate education in the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics for over 12 years. She holds a BA in Psychology from the College of St. Benedict and a PhD in Cognitive and Biological Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
