UniverCity Chippewa County

Located in west central Wisconsin, Chippewa County is made up of predominantly agricultural land with significant urbanized areas and comprises 11 villages and cities. The county has rich historical roots and natural resources like the Chippewa County Forest and Ice Age Trail. Several nationally known companies including Mason Shoe, Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, and Chippewa Springs Water are located in the county in addition to and internationally known computer technology companies Cray Inc. and SGI.  

Chippewa county provides a variety of services to residents and, over the years, these services have incorporated more and more technology. Chippewa County applied to UniverCity for the years 2023-26 to create a roadmap for technology improvements within the county that would have lasting effects.
