Located 30 miles east of the Twin Cities in northwestern Wisconsin, the City of River Falls is home to 16,200 residents and 6,000 students who attend UW-River Falls. The city is known for its outdoor activities and scenic nature and strongly values the environment and sustainability.
River Falls applied to UniverCity Year for the years 2022-25 to continue enhancing the city’s sustainability efforts; research housing, transportation, library systems, and community recreation; and address diversity, equity, and inclusion.
