UniverCity Shorewood
The Village of Shorewood, located in Milwaukee County, is just over 1.5 square miles and home to over 13,000 residents. Flanked by Lake Michigan to the East and the Milwaukee River to the West, this ideally situated community is primarily residential and places a strong focus on education, parks, and infrastructure.
Shorewood applied to UniverCity Year for the years 2022-25 to develop a historic preservation plan framework aimed at protecting its unique housing stock, review its communication strategy, and conduct a feasibility study to electrify the police fleet of vehicles.
