In partnership with the Ho-Chunk Nation and UniverCity Alliance, the village of Waunakee and Waunakee Public Library are creating a traveling museum exhibit focused on the Ho-Chunk Nation and its true history and culture.
Through UniverCity Year, Waunakee focused on relationship building with the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin.

On Nov. 1 in honor of Native American Heritage Month, the Village of Waunakee raised the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin flag and installed new emblems on a welcome sign.
The Wisconsin Policy Forum recognized the Village of Waunakee for efforts to pursue social justice, racial equity, inclusion, and community civility. Through UniverCity Year, Waunakee focused on relationship building with the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin.
